GTA Register

A register specifically for GTAs (105s, 147 & 156 - Tipo 932 & 937 respectively - and Giulia GTA & GTAm).

The 147 & 156 GTAs remain one of the more evocative of recent Alfas, with gorgeous saloon and estate styling cloaking the firm's famous 'Busso' 3.2-litre V6. The cars were assembled on a separate line to standard models, and featured amongst other items, faster steering and stronger Brembo brakes.

Like other hot hatches of the time, the 147 GTA relied on displacement rather than turbocharging. Its V6 engine produced 247bhp, which was good for a 153mph top speed, and also managed to spin the front wheels through the gears.

The 147 GTA was a feature on Top Gear and the modified Autodelta 147 GTA 3.7 was a standout hot hatch. The 156 GTA was considered more of an executive sporting saloon.

Fitting of the aftermarket Q2 differential is considered essential and while some low kilometre examples are now considered collectible.
