Mmm, for the sake a few litres of oil and $, change to 10w60 and peace of mind.

Hi Neil, I don't think 10w40 was the Alfa spec for the GTA, 10w60 Selenia was recommended. I use Penrite 15W50 racing in my GTA as it is a full PAO synthetic, superior to the Selenia in every way and 60 is too thick these days with modern oils being more capable. To the OP, it's not going to hurt as long as, and previously mentioned, you dump it after 5k and put something better in. Enjoy your GTA, good score as there aren't many around these days!
