Hello AROCA members,

I am a new member although have been a multiple time Alfa owner from my late teens up to just buying my 5th in my 50's. Currently my wife and I have a 74 Spider and a 84 GTV6, the latter is a very recent addition of only a couple of weeks. I am looking forward to getting out on an event at some point to meet some of you.

Before I buy some replacement plastics from a car being parted out I thought I should as if there is anyone in Melbourne that can repair the plastic bumpers and the front lower bib spoiler which both have racks or damage? I have used the search function but could not find any details so apologies if I have missed it.

Thanks,
Chris

Did you get anywhere with this Chris?

I've seen some very straight & repainted bumpers but not any restored to the original look.

Not sure how well you can see it.

Got rattlecans made up with the paint code AR761 which I was told is correct. I tried the local paint store but it was not the correct colour so I went to paintaway in Preston and looked about correct. Looks much better now than it did with the faded bumpers. Still a 10m car though!  ;D

I also bought a can of adhesion promoter which i used pre the paint layer than I also gave it a coat of clear. Worked pretty well. I can send you some pics in the sun if you are interested. I also masked off and did under the rubber strip around the car.
