Took my ailing father for an outing north of Sydney in the manual 147 TS.

Up Old Windsor Rd, through the Putty Rd to Milbrodale, thence Broke, and back to Sydney via Wollombi, Laguna, the Old Highway etc. The old bloke really enjoyed it, too.  About 350km of road, gazillions of bikes, FOUR mobile cash wagons, one lurking Bike Cop, most drivers well behaved save for a Statesman-punting knobhead near Hornsby. Relieved to see not a single bike down, you get that many out and it seems too frequent someone's exuberance exceeds their roadcraft.

- Obviously Les Grenouilles are whispering in the 147's ears, though - on the final stages of my outing the "MSCF" message appeared, complete with flashing odometer.  ::)
