Hi Guys

Checking out the new Giulietta brochure the other night and thee was the story of the 4 leaf clover on Alfa. The new 1750 QV will be the latest to wear this proud symbol.

So it was first painted on Sivocci's car in the 1923 Targa Floria, and considering he had been the brides maid and not the bride it had instant results because he won. That's the story from the brochure and I confirmed that in my copy of "Catalog Raisonne" the magnificent two volume Alfa Bible I have at home.

I also remember my 1999 GTV had the same symbol on the oil dipstick. The symbol pops up on many models so here is my question:

Does the 4 leaf clover appear on EVERY Alfa, and if so where. I am hoping we can get some answers to cover most models here so go and have a crawl around and see where it might be on yours.

If its not still torrentially raining tomorrow I will crawl around the GTV6 and see if one is lurking around.

I am 100% sure the 99 GTV had it on the oil dipstick.

So lets see what we can come up with - come on Sheldon - where does it hide on the Mighty 90 :-)

Imaginative answers might be fun too.

Catch ya

Shane

I like that one Frank - very cute.

Apart from the key I cant fnd another one on the GTV6. I'l just have to settle for " It's cast on the inside of the sump"  :-)

My 156 Sport had one but it was just a aluminium style alloy metal colour.

THis was in contast to the 156 Monza badge with a bronzy alloy with green enamel clover leaf.

From memory
Quadrifoglio Verde (Green cloverleaf) is usually reserved for the go faster models (ti, gt, veloce)
Quadrifoglio Oro (Gold cloverleaf) for the luxury version (progression, distinctive)

I had an 88 QV Sprint once,  lovely thing (green faded horribly to blue though)
No QV badges anywhere on the current 156JTD or '66 Duetto

VeeSix

All engines from the 164 onwards had it on the dipstick
90s have it on the dash and rear badge
GTV6s are so amazing and sleek the clover can not hang on anywhere, unless you put in a 164 3 litre of course!!!!! :-*
