Selling my much loved GTV that has been a member of the AROCA VIC family for well over 20 years. Previously owned by Damian Black as a GTV 2.0 twin spark road/track build and now by me since 2019 as a fast road 3.0 GTV6 following a 3-year project documented on this forum and on AlfaBB. I'd love it to be sold to another AROCA VIC member, asking price is $49,990 which is way below the cost of the the project.

Please contact me on 0408 408 259 and I'll happily share photos and arrange a viewing. Vehicle history has been verified through Monza Motors and Rankins Panels, with recent servicing by Maranello Pursang. Below is my ad in the Alfa Romeo Appreciation And Buy Swap Sell Australia on Facebook:

This 1982 Alfa Romeo GTV6 3.0 "fast road" build is simply stunning and embodies the sporting heritage and passion of the marque. Held in a private collection by an Alfa club member for 20+ years the body and paint were treated to a bare metal rotisserie restoration by Rankins Panels in the early 2000s and setup as road registered, track ready GTV powered by an Alfa 75 2.0 Twin Spark by Monza Motors. By all reports it saw very little racing, as shown by the still stunning body and paintwork.

Released from the private collection in 2018 I purchased it in early 2019 with the objective being to build a fast road GTV6 sympathetic to the era but with modern touches. Over a three year period it was fitted with a GTV6 interior and mechanically refreshed by Monza Motors with a fully rebuilt Alfa 75 3.0 V6 running 10:1 high compression pistons, ported and polished heads, matched inlet runners and a stainless steel exhaust with ceramic coated extractors. To coax many fiery Italian stallions from the venerable 12 valve V6 it was setup with a Motec engine management system by Melbourne Performance Centre.

Tarox 298mm six piston front brakes coupled with Chris Snowden Racing Alfa SZ specification vented rear brakes reign in the Italian stallions impressively. Handling duties are taken care of by upgraded 28mm torsion bars, Chris Snowden Racing front extended ball joints and Koni yellow dampers all round. Putting the estimated 160kW of power down to the rear wheels is an Alfa 75 4.1:1 LSD transaxle with newly installed gearbox synchros. Yokohama Advan 225/45 tyres take care of traction at the rear with Bridgestone Potenza RE003 205/50 tyres on the front providing crisp steering feedback.

The modern touches continue with an Alfa 75 power steering conversion, LED interior and dash lighting, hidden bluetooth audio and new airconditioning components from Sanden and VintageAir (but let's be honest, GTV6 air conditioning is never going to be great by modern standards). Electrical relays have been fitted for ignition, starter, headlights and power windows (they fly up and down!) while a modern 120 amp Bosch alternator keeps all electrics zippy and charged. New front door cards by Motorcraft were also recently fitted using matching pinstripe material.

Along the journey I met so many passionate GTV6 owners from across Australia, Italy, USA, UK, Belgium, Netherlands and Slovenia who helped me source many rare and NOS parts including front seats in storage from 1990s, a rear hatch in storage for 20+ years sourced from Brisbane, genuine Borbet Type A 16x7.5 wheels manufactured 29th week 1989 in storage for 15+ years and refurbished by Neway Wheels, an Alfa Romeo SZ Momo steering wheel dated 5-1990 sourced from renowned Alfa interior parts restorer Franjo Mokina in Slovenia, new old stock speedometer (dated 14/2/1985) that read 00008km when installed and a geniune radio blanking plate (dated 30/3/1994). At time of listing the odometer read 01866km.

The entire project was documented on AlfaBB (search for "1982 GTV Renovation") and I have over 700 photos and all invoices available. The costs for such a project far exceed the asking price so silly offers will not receive a response. The car will be displayed at the Alfa Club Spettacolo on 16 November.
