Does anyone know the thickness of the Alfetta GTV6 transaxle front x member spacers. Also are the mounting bolts longer than the GTV4. ???

I know with the sedans there are differences. The four cylinder models don't have spacers, the six cylinder cars (90s and 75s) have spacers about 8 - 10mm thick and the auto 75's have spacers that are 15 - 18mm thick.

I'm being a bit vague on the measurements here, as it's ages since I last did one of these. I'll look under my both the GTVs (4 & 6) tonight when I get home from work and see what I can see. (It's even longer ago that I worked under either of them).

Thank you Steve,

I did get a bit worried when I fitted the transaxle and noticed that the prop-shaft yoke was close to the tunnel.
Do you know if the GTV4 mounting bolts are the same length as the GTV6.

Thanks again.

Hi Serge,

I did a bit of checking under several cars and can say that on my cars, there are no spacers on either four cylinder GTV or Alfetta sedan and there are 10mm thick spacers on both the GTV6 and 90.

As previously mentioned the auto 75's had thicker 20mm spacers. I checked bolt lengths in my spares stock and there are three different lengths in the longer bolts, which are 118mm, 126mm and 132mm. I assume that these correspond to four cylinder car, six cylinder car and auto V6. I don't have any spare short bolts to make a comparison.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Thank you Steve for the info.
I will make up the 10mm spacers and get the longer bolts.

Thanks again.
