So Ray, I went down to the $2 shop and bought myself some sarcasm, humour and a clue and figured out what you were really asking (thanks Alister).

So here is the member I am seeking.

A junior female member who owns a business which sponsored the club, she went to every Alfa events, organized several EMR's and the Christmas party, she wrote a fantastic article on her Historic racing achievements, raced and won with her Historic GpS Alfetta GTV, beat Phil Baskett at all the Historic meetings and fastest of all the R3 boys.  Clean sweep on awards night.

Due to the cancellation of the annual dinner and presentation night.

The presentation of the awards as stated at the start of this notice thread will be conducted at the July club meeting on Wednesday 11 July at the Water Rat Hotel in South Melbourne.

If you have competed at any of the competition sprint events or attended any of the club events, you could be in for an award so best that you attend the meeting, you might be surprised and walk away with some silverware.  Come anyway and enjoy a drink or two and a good yarn at the bar with all the members on all things about Alfa's.

See you all then.

2011 Modified Class 1600-1999 cc
2nd - Justin Jacob Alfa 75 TS
1st - Colin Byrne 105 Coupe
What can we say about him, brilliant driving skills in a brilliantly well planned and well built 105 GTV.  Campaigner in sprints, Alfa 6 hr and most of all tarmac rallies.  Seasoned driver.

2011 Modified Class 2000-2999 cc
2nd - Andrew Barden, John Toomath, Scott Raglus
1st - Andrew Toomath Alfa 75 3.0L
Good and friendly competitor.  Have stepped up with modification of his 3L 75 turning it into a full on race car and doing pretty good times.

2011 Racing Class 1300-1599 cc
2nd - Ray Pignataro Alfa Sud
1st - Susan Pignataro Alfa Sud
Driving superbly in a well prepared and the almighty Alfa Sud and a well seasoned competitor in sprints and Alfa 6 hr, only one of a handful of Sud drivers and lady drivers.

2011 Racing Class 1600-1999 cc
2nd - Neil Choi Alfetta GTV Gp S
1st - Damon Choi Alfetta GTV Gp S
Stepping up from the 2L standard class into 2L racing class against long time and more experienced competitors.  He was getting accustomed to a different but underpowered race car but was gaining speed and skills through the year.

2011 Racing Class Over 3000 cc
2nd – Victor Lee Alfetta GTV6 3.2L
1st - Jim Nielsen 155 Turbo
A driver who is not the main stream and likes to independently develop his Alfa.  His 155, like all his other previous cars, is well developed or developing.  Driving well and is usually the fastest Alfa at each event.  Always entertaining to watch him on the track competing with his usual bunch of competitors.

2011 Associate Class

An associate of the 33 clan but now jumped ship to a non Alfa.  Having a great time with his fellow competitors and 33 mates.

Rewarding to see Sue winning trophy, consistent and smooth driver.  Smoother and faster driver than many and great to watch.

BRIAN HORMAN MEMORIAL TROPHY Martin Sifredi

A member with all around skills and enthusiasm, without whom, sprint events will not happen and EMR's don't run.  Sits on the Alfa 6 hr committee and a main contributor of ideas and resources.  Always there to help and assist anyone at events.  He is involved in all facets of the club.

ALEC MILDREN TROPHY Phil Baskett
Consistent competitor in Historic Racing for many years with top finishes usually podium in the Gp S 2L category.  A campaigner to get others involved in Gp S racing.  Not many have come close in knocking him off the podium but Nick Taylor did come close except for a misfortunate exhaust break at the last meeting which was the Sandown Historic where he just needed to finish.

Supported the sprint series and the Alfa 6 hr, competed at Alfa 6 hr's and came purposely and consistently last but having a great time.

TERRY POTTER MEMORIAL TROPHY Joe Falcone
Competed consistently with top finishes in a beautifully presented and standard Alfetta GTV, goes to show one does not need a fast Alfa or spend a lot of money to have fun in an Alfa on the track, consistency and good driving still provides competitiveness and lots of enjoyment.
