I have been looking for some wheels for my current 116 project and have settled on the 17in Ti wheels off a 147 or 156. I think they will look fantastic and are a simple change. I am a little concerned about too much loss of ride quality so will wait and see. I have seen them advertised for around 1k for wheels and tyres so perhaps not what you would call cheap.

No... that's a bad idea, ride quality would be terrible, they'll look awful, don't do it...  :P

Or, maybe I'm just saying that because at the moment there aren't too many 116's going around with them on, and it makes mine look just a little different  ;D

for good second had rims with reasonable tyres 16's or 17's should not go over $500 otherwise your getting ripped off

If you get a set of good 17" wheels the same as in my display pic, I'll buy them off you for $500.  Wouldn't mind some spares.  You should be able to make some money on that one.

From memory they are 30.5 or some offset like that.

ill take the cheap set, as i only want them for wet weather track rims, and  i dont have that style of rim yet and need it to almost complete the 156/147 range of rims

i have 17 wheels from a new alfa on my gtv. Wheels look awesome from the side but on an angle u can see how bd the offset is. Will require 25-30 mm bolt on sacers. if anyone else wants a set of those wheels mentioned above. I have a set of 4 with decent tyres. $200

Are Alfa 75 rims a direct fit onto a GTV6?

Yep.  Did you know though that 1.6 and 1.8 75's had 4 stud wheels?
