Early vs Late GTV6

well i got my GTV6 home today. after dinner i tipped a bit of fuel in the tank, put a battery in the boot, turned the key, AND IT STARTED!!!! but only for 20 seconds, then it stopped. no amount of cranking would get it to fire. worked out no action from the fuel pump. grabbed a second battery and hot wired the fuel pump, away it went, purred actually. so, i have a gremlin in the fuel pump circuit. anyone got any ideas of what it might be? love to hear them. i'll take a few pics tomorrow and let you see her.
