Ciao everyone. I've joined up since I'm actively and enthusiastically looking for a clean, sexy, manual Alfa spider (>2000 models only, but not the new shape since it's out of budget) in Melbourne. I'm trying to find a black example, but I'm open to Zoe Yellow, Red or even Sage if it's definately the right example.

Really glad to find AROCA in any case, and hopefully some members can give me some advice on any known issues with spiders, what to look for and where the best services centres are in Melbourne.

Grazie tanto. I'm extremely excited to be here.

- Christian.

Hi there and welcome.  I suggest that you join the club and talk to a few members and sponsors on a club night/activity.  his will save you time and money and you will get the info you need.  But have a look at other threads here regarding servicing, timing belt changes etc.  Do your research as you do not want to be misinformed.

Check out the sponsors link on top right hand side of home page.

There are the verious Alfa Dealers and also other Alfa Specialists all of which have a good reputation based on their knowledge.    Most importantly, you will want to get  a  'pre purchase inspection'  on a car (s) so check out cost and the benefits - so find some one local business to you; or to where the car(s) may be.

Keep up the enthusiasm!

Hi and good advice from John Hanslow.  To get some idea of what spiders are out there.  Try having a look at the usual websites: www.carsales.com.au, www.carpoint.com.au, or www.carsguide.com.au   I reckon there should be sufficient to get some idea.

This is how I found my '03 JTS 156 sportwagon.  I live in Hobart, the car was in Sydney.  I flew up there, took it for a drive, checked its service history and was satisfied.  Bought it for $20k and drove it home, via the East Coast.  That was last Nov and it is still perfect.

Goodluck in the hunt.   Cheers Dave
