Jekyll and Hyde

QuoteNothing like a hand covered in diesel when filling up with your business suit on and a 9am meeting.

My dad carries a box of disposable rubber gloves in his TD5 diesel discovery for that reason (the pump always being covered in diesel, that is, not the business suit!).  Looks a bit odd when he's filling up, but hey, beats that slimy diesel feel all over your steering wheel.

Used to own a 2002 147 Twinspark average fuel consumption was around 9.5 - 10 l/100km.

That was running 98 octane - Always flatout

Around town got around 525 kays from a tank so around 11.4L/100km, up to 750 km pure highway driving so consumption dropped to as low as 8 l/100km.

if you want mere transport buy the Golf if you want to have fun buy the 147
