Hi,

My son wants to purchase a 33.  The unit we are looking at is a green cloverleaf with twin carbs.  There is a red S to the rear of each front wheel.  The owner claims this is an early '87 model however the unit is unregistered & I have been unable to confirm this.  Can anyone shed some light on the possible age?  Also are there any problems/issues for the 33 we should be aware of in the purchase?

Hey Glenn,

Are you interested in a 1992 Alfa Romeo 33 16 valve. The car has 169000 and is in good condition. It has a $2000 professionally installed stereo system. The stereo system is not of your JB Hi-Fi quality but was sold and installed by small specialist store. The cd player is VDO while the speakers, amplifier, tweeters and 10inch subwoofer are all Hertz (a well respected italian brand of audio products). All the work done in the installation of the stereo system is completely reversible without leaving any damaging scars to the car.
Mechanically the car is great. It has been regularly serviced and maintained by my local mechanic.
If you want a 33 then it is no point looking at anything prior to the 16 valve models because they are not worth it. A 16 valve is the ultimate in the 33 range and a 1992 model is definately the best to get.

Drop me a post here and i will happily get in touch with you.
