Unfortunately the other night some mis guided youths tried to steal my car at about 1:20 in the morning. They had smashed the drivers side window and attempted to roll the car down the street. Fortunatly as they tried to steer out of the gutter the trustworthy coloum lock engaged putting their attempt to a halt at the gutter on the other side of the street.
Yes sad i know but i think they were after the harnesses and bucket seats and other racey gear i had attached to the car, as nothing like the sterreo or spare change from centre console were touched.
This is just a reminder to all you Alfa owners that if you have such gear in your car its a target to undesired attack :'(
I now make an effort to move the cars when i get home so its off the street. Hopefully no-one else has to experience this.
Which car Trent?
Having some bad luck down Bayswater way. It would be nice if we could all have secure garages to park our race cars in but often we dont so it may pay to remove all go fast bits each time the car is being "put away". Teruo can vouch that often it is the harness and seat that people target
Ed: FYI this isn't Trent Harrison - if that's where 'bayswater' is coming from.
Sorry to hear your trouble Trent - another of our members had his Sud pinched a couple of years back - almost certainly for the expensive seat and harness. I agree having all sorts of racing gear on your road car is like a red rag.
bad luck.
Evan, I think you must be right. The Sud would certainly have been stolen for its racing seat and harness......can't think of any other reason........why you would!
;D
You'll keep Mr Sharp! At least I have an operational Alfa ;-)
