Title: Seats for a 116 GTV
Post by: cranberry on November 28, 2012, 07:53:23 AM
Hi folks. Will any seats from a later model Alfa fit in an Alfetta GTV without too many issues? E.g. 156/147/164

I was about to fit a pair of 156 seats to mine... until I noticed that the 156 seats don't fold forward which would make accessing the rear seat a little difficult.
Not sure about the 147, but the 156 seats were going to need a few modifications to the mounts and runners - they were not going to drop straight in.

As the 147 comes in 3 door, I would imagine that their seats would fold enough for rear access.

Maybe you can somehow drill the 116 rails to the bottom of the 147 seat?

Geez I'm a dill! Of course the seats from a sedan wouldn't work in a coupe. So what other options are there? Would the seats from a late model GTV fit?

I think you will find that the seats in an Alfetta GTV are very narrow. I have measured Sud, 33, 916 GTV and 3 door 147 all too wide. From memory this is in both the width of the seat and the distance between the rails.

Quite a few people have fitted Recaro and other aftermarket seats into 116 GTV's over the years.  They fit OK with careful alignment of the rails.  I have one in my lockup with rails if you want to measure it.

Thanks aggie, I live in Adelaide so it may be a bit hard to organise that.

No drama - but if you want some measurements just let me know.
