QuoteSHANNONS EARLY CLASSIC HANDICAP
1. Jon Siddins / Darren Ferguson, 1970 Datsun 240Z
2. Colin Byrne / Paul Stoopman, 1971 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000, +57s
3. Robert Devenish / Karien Heimsohn, 1971 Datsun 240Z, +1m54s
4. Donn Todd / Dean Tighe, 1971 Ford Capri Perana, +1m56
5. Ross Steuart / Nathan Steuart, 1962 Ford Anglia 105e, +2m10s

A very solid-looking second place.  Come on little Alfa.

Boo DNF.  But well done to Paul and Rob in #486.  The Qld 147 GTA did quite well in early modern too.  Final results are here: http://targa.com.au/tc/page_full.asp?asset_id=8713

Hi even, thanks for the posts
Yea all was going well on saterday,  we had some knock back issues on the new brakes but not a massive issue and wasn't slowing us down much.  Then on the second stage on Sunday the engine strted to miss and then came good, unfortunately it looked like we had bent a valve.  After a bit of running it seemed to straighten and although it was a bit noisy it seemed to be running ok.  After about 15k into the next stage it must have failed completely and we just stopped.  Oh well there is always next year!

Love your attitude Colin.  I would be devastated.

Anyway good show, up to the bend valve.  Looking forward to some in car.

Cheers
