Title: Distributor advance weight springs
Post by: Craig C on November 09, 2012, 12:46:31 PM
I've discovered a broken spring that fell out of my bosch 2.0 litre engine distributor.  All else looks ok but I was wondering where to go to get replacement springs.  Preferable around south east Melbourne.  Anyone have a similar experience or have any suggestions.

You could try an Auto Electrician, they usually have an old school distributor tester, and being a Bosch, they may have parts for it, i am sure yours isn't the first to lose a spring, try Ambruzzi at Strong St. Thomastown, Colin.

Thanks for the suggestion Colin, I ended up putting a Frankenstein version together using parts of a spare.  After a bit of trial and error it looks like it is working ok.
