Have not heard of that company for 20 years, cars are much better rust proofed, that companies like this have gone out of business, it was sometimes found that applying their goolygum to cars made it worse, as it actually trapped the moisture in and started rust, [as evidence by the picture], what sort of car is it?, Colin.

Hello ColCol

Wow! You actually heard or remeber the company, wonder why they went out of business  ;D
Genuine sticker that came that was on the vehicle when i purchasaed it, as you say 20 years, i was thinking the sticker was from the early eighties, i found the guarantee part so funny when looking at the hatch

It is a 1977 Alfa Romeo GTV 2.0, the rust gods certainly left thir touch and did not think much of Endrust!  ;D

Endrust used to advertise in the car magazines, i think they were a franchise, and car dealers used them, as they were a good money earner, they were around 70's and 80's, it was in the days when cars were expensive, and were kept for decades, it was for the vunerable who thought they could keep the old girl going a few more years, Colin.

To be fair, you need to actually read what the guarantee covers. That car may well have fine door bottoms (that's about the only area accessed by rustproofers such as Endrust).  Most rustproofers never even pulled the door trims, merely drilled a few holes and squirted in some Tectyl, letting gravity do the rest.  On most cars that's adequate, but not on a 1970's Alfa.

I don't know of any 'rustproofing' company, including AR themselves, who could ever sufficiently access that area of an Alfetta to apply corrosion preventative.   Even Alfa's own rust guarantee of the late '80's only covered panels themesleves, and it was only for 'Full Penetration' coverage for six years.
