Hi guys, just thought some might be keen to see some pics of this Alfetta Sedan. It started off as my car some years back, in 1.8 Twin cam form, but later on (after I sold it) was fitted out with the full running gear from a 90. The current owner, (CMI club president, down here in Hobart), decided with the approval of the club committee to deck it out as a Carabinieri livery, to help celebrate our running of the 10th anniversary of the Domain Hillclimb. This Hillclimb I understand is the only such event held in the middle of a capital city around the country.
Targa Tas used to hold a stage over the Domain, but this was banned a few years back. CMI is the only club to have permission to hold such an event now on this circuit. Needless to say with big bore exhaust, the note is glorious. There is also a Youtube clip, (don't know how to link to these), but you can find it by typing in Domain Hillclimb 2012. The hillclimb is short (1km), with plenty of potential hazards, but that is a part of the challenge. Hope you like the pics/video clip.
Damn it all, the pics wouldn't download as per normal ?? Not sure what to do. Could email them, if someone else could post them that might work. I do know we changed computers recently at work (windows 7), don't know if that is the problem, seems odd. Pity would have like to shown the snaps, the "police" fetta looks pretty cool.
Hi there
like to see them, What I do and I find this easy is right click on the pic then go to edit, I use paint, then I just reduce the size to 25% this usually is enough to work, also other have ways of doing it to but not sure how they do it.
With the link i would have it open in youtube then just copy the address and paste it
Hi dehne, thanks for the advice, will have to try that out. I have the pics downloaded from my iphone onto the computer at work. To date I hadn't encountered such issues in loading pics onto websites, let alone attaching to emails, but when trying to load them up today I did. Was somewhat disappointed, as you can imagine.
Not sure Scott as the site shows a missing plug in.
Derek Entensano has offered to help if I can email them to him, so to expedite the process while trying to work through Dehne's suggestions might be the quickest way.
Thanks all and hopefully I can get the images up for all to see. All we needed on the day was for our club pres to have been decked out in the Carabinierie uniform to have completed the image. It was seriously good fun. He is keeping the car decked out until after out Annual display in November. Funny to think what might happen if he were pulled up by the local coppers. Suspect they wouldn't have a clue.
I want a V6 ;D
Don't we all ! :) was out last night after club meeting, at a local Italian eatery, the owner is mad keen Alfa owner, has a Brera v6, any way said pres decided to light up the tyres on leaving, the howl of Alfa V6 could be heard for quite a distance. Pure music of course :)
Ah yes see the video is up, enjoy all ! Oh meant also to note it wasn't the owner driving it, but another club member so was a little careful. The owner gives it full throttle
Here are the pics. Looks great!

Thanks all for helping out re getting the pics/videos up. Agree with Scuzzy it sure was a great event, though a pity re the rain and a slight accident which did quite some damage to one of club member's GTV6. Hopefully repairable.
Love first series alfetta sedans.. What a sleeper with the livery off...
