Title: 105 Carbies rebuild
Post by: Mr Frog on September 05, 2012, 05:20:50 PM
I am looking for someone reputable to rebuild my 1969 105 carbies, preferably in Queensland, but interstate if necessary. Any suggestions welcome.

Suggest you start by checking through the Club links/advertisers/sponsors or talk to club members to get their guidance

Try Daniel at Weberperformance. Take a look at   www.weberperformance.com.au/. I have seen some of his excellent work. Although in Victoria he does work from all over the country. Cheers  Eddy

Haven't tried anywhere local myself but if you go interstate Robert at Manning Motors in Sydney definitely knows his stuff and is club affiliated. I've promised him my next set of 45s for my TS project.

Thornbury carburettors in Melbourne are very good and enthusiasts who understand Weber and Delortto's very well. Manufacture their own parts for older carbs, rebuilt my downdraught webers (ferrari) when everyone said no one in world could do it. they are family business,Lancia affecionardos but love all Italian marques. Dad has a Fiat 500, I think, but manufactured bits for a pre war carb for a Lancia when required.

Thornbury Carbs replied straight away with a rough cost estimate and other details - so as soon as I get back to cairns they'll be on their way. Thanks very much.
