i would not think that is normal! Up to 1750 it used to be LH thread on the left side of the car and the RH thread on the right side of the car.

as for parts, you need to do the shop around - ebat, web for O/S suppliersor any of our advertisers - Monza/Alfpa, Milano Spares, Italian Job

Mick it is a very easy job to push out the last remaining L/H thread stud, just remove the hub (front) or whole axle (rear) and use a press. Even a sharp hit with a hammer will usually move it given that you will discard the old ones. The new ones pull in using the new nut and a spacer. Or if you are a stickler for detail you could remove all the R/H threads on the passenger side and fit a full set of L/H threads? These are a little harder to obtain though. The feeling is the L/H threads cause confusion and end up getting strained or broken by the unaware.
