just purchased a gtv6 and it is one of six that got imported by alfa romeo australia for series prodution racing in 1985 /ie colin bond race cars
two were put into street condition

question
states that the motor is high performance , non polution european spec engine
can any one explane the difference from a normal gvt6 engine

There is very little difference mechanically.  I have a copy of the workshop manual for both versions at home but if you look here:

you will probably find what you're looking for.  The Australian market shared mechanical spec with Switzerland.

By memory (and this is nearly 30 years on mind) there were a number of early cars imported in '83 with UK spec and in different colour / trim combo's. They didn't have aircon either as I recall.
