Post by: Stuart Thomson on July 14, 2012, 05:11:36 PM
WooHoo!

Just received my acceptance for the SBR for 2013!

Sheldon has also been accepted, awaiting news from other Alfa club people...

Fat Boy Racing rides again.  Fundraising starts tomorrow, well maybe next weekend at Broadford!

Cheers

You're keen, Brissy to Adelaide, then the 7 days of the rally.  You'll have a great time.  Start your fundraising ASAP, and depending on how you go sourcing a car, start preparing it as soon as you can, and make sure to do a few test runs of it beforehand.

You're not supposed to have more than 2 in the car, and there hasn't been any kids in the last couple of years.  I'm not saying it's not kid-friendly, but there is a bit of shenanigans that goes on.  Have a talk to the organisers, but my guess would be that they would say no.

I managed to buy a shitbox Alfa today, and I'm happy to say it's an Alfa that I've always lusted after, that it was comfortably under $1000, and one that hasn't done a shitbox previously.  All will be revealed next week.

All good advice !!

Did you get a model not previously represented in the Shitbox ?

I really need to read all the rules, conditions etc. I didn't really think mr Finn would come, although he has been backpacked to some wild places in his five years and has also done a lap of the nurburgring :)
(he slept)
