Title: Fix for the Infocenter Display on Alfa 156 '02 onwards
Post by: Stuart Thomson on July 09, 2012, 11:28:32 PM
Hi All,

Found the replacement LCD section of the display from a mob in Europe.

The one(s) in my 156GTA(s) are stuffed.  These are a direct replacement for the LCD part of the display.

Getting the display out is quite a job, glovebox has to be removed(ish) to get at a wiring plug to allow for the console thing on top of the dashboard to come out.

Replacing the LCD in the Infocentre is a piece of cake, but I had to solder on another resistor to the board to dim the display.  This might still come out again to put in a trimpot as the contrast is still a bit bright for my liking, but it could be because I did this at night.

Before and after shots below.

Cheers
Stuart
