Title: Front Brake Upgrade
Post by: Colin Byrne on July 09, 2012, 09:29:23 PM
Got the front brackets back from the CNC place today, fits very well, just got to sort out some new banjo fittings for the brake lines.  I know they look big in the photo but they are actually lighter than the original rears

Sorry sheldon, you can get them any color you like as long as they're red!

Hi Craig, the rotors are a ford vented disk that was found as a blank and had the 105 stud pattern drilled into it.  The calipers are a generic AP raceing caliper, so not off any car in particular.  I got these second hand as the AP's arn't as good value as the wilwoods I put on the rear.

It amazes me the modifications you are allowed in Targa events.  Wish I could put those brakes on my car.......

Haha, yea we're lucky in that area, it's all about "safety" when it comes to brakes so you can do pretty much what ever you like, only rule is no carbon fibre parts, not going to be a massive issue for me.
