I have sourced a replacement for the Alfa 156 info centre display unit. It's much cheaper to buy 10 or more than one and get them shipped from Europe.
If, like me you are sick of not being able to read the display, add your name to this post or PM me.
Once I work out how to R&R the old ones I may offer a repair service for a minimal fee.

As we bought 3 of them, they came in at 70 Euro each, that's about $90.
Paul, you can take it off my bill when I finally get the car over there. I'll see Neil regularly, the parts are on the way.
