The GTV6 will have the earlier two pin connection distributor, the e-bay one has the later 3 pin type  :)

If the switch is on the dash, it is for the windows. Switch for mirrors is on the console. Congrats on the purchase, you got the best of the model -85

Well,
my distributor says PGFUD6, but the only one i could find is in germany`s ebay for 400pounds.
do anyone knows if there is any other one that can be used ?

about my electric mirror switch, it`s on the center console for the outside mirrors.
but mine doesnt have the selector switch, so it only works for the drivers side.
i am trying to find one that would work for both sides.
seems that i am going to have to adapt some other one into the center console that would work for both sides.

yes it is an 85 !! It was from Luke`s on newcastle.
drove to Gold coast perfectly but then, the next day just wont start.
George from Revolution(the only gold coast alfa romeo specialist) is trying to help me find one, but nothing...
do anyone knows a place to overhaul mine? it seems that no one even does this things here.
cheers

Yes, experience with these cars is a dying trait and using the various forums for Q&A is of a great help to get you going. Learn about it and be rewarded, the pleasure will outweigh the hardships. I think I've been reading too many of MDs posts.

I will say this much, thems mirrors are getting as rare a rocking horse poo so be sure you take good care of them electrics working or not. If the housings are sound, it is of course possible to simply have the actual mirrors remade. (With the usual amount of stuffing around)

If your are the only driver and your mirrors dont need constant adjustment then the electric motors are irrelevant(to a point). It is possible to manually set up the mirrors and forget about it. They will work just fine anyway.

As for the dizzy, there are modifications that can be made from other brands to make it better than original so don't sweat it. As I say, get to know the guys on the  specific Forum.

mfroes, come and have a chat to me at the Club or on the track. Happy to help you out.
