Hi guys found is on the tubehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GApxjtV2kF8; coiln bond
The good old days when Alfa Romeo used to race, as opposed to now, if i remember rightly, fastest in practice in the Group A Touring Cars, driving a 1800cc twin spark turbo 75, but got pipped in quallifying, by Sierra, i was there, with brother, extremely proud of my Marque, and Alfa Sponsor Caltex had our stand booked out for Caltex people, Colin Bond was sitting towards the back, brother negotiated to buy a Caltex Alfa 75 turbo shirt off one of the Caltex people, [they actually swapped shirts, with some cash changing hands], would have got one myself, but sizes only went to XXXX Large, 'big col'.
Might have a bit more luck with this link

Yes I was that too but got depressed went i was coiln full back to 3rd.
Wow!! What an awesome race! Thanks for posting. Gee I love the 80s Group A racing.
Why is Brock 5 rather than 05?
Interesting to see just how small the 75 is compared to the other cars. Disregarding the lack of power from the 75, the narrow track must have been a huge handicap.
Here are links to the whole race.

is that the same car lucio cesario smacked into the wall at bathurst?
I would say so Ang, they didn't have a spare car to my knowledge, they used to have many back axles, bent with different camber angles, and they would install different ones for different tracks, Car Of The Future, what a load of rubbish, go back to Group A, where Manufacturers could run the cars that they actually built, and the Governing body would set the weights and tyre widths to suit the engine size, i was so excited to see the first Group A race in 1985, channel 7 delayed it a week because of the VFL, and then when they replayed it the following Saturday, we saw the supports first and just when they were about to debut the first race..... they crossed to the LIVE horse racing!, Colin.
