An awesome weekend at Warwick's Morgan Park Raceway for the B Series sprints. My first time on the track and I loved it. We used the tight and technical 1.2km circuit. Two big brakes and seven gear changes in 43/44 seconds over 1.2km means you are busy as hell and with the result being the cumulative time over four laps means you can't afford even one missed gear, brake lock up or oversteer. We had 7 Alfa Comp competitors in vehicles with varying levels of modification but on this little circuit we were all within 4 seconds per lap of each other. Great stuff.
Congrats to Michael Heeremens for taking first place with a killer run on Saturday. I managed to edge out Ken Percival's 105 for second place, with Mark Jackson a few tenths further back in fourth. Dougie Stonehouse and birthday boy Charles Webb had a titanic battle all weekend, while Randolf Dittrich in his 33 was relentlessly harassed for two days by Jenny in her 105 and Sian Jackson in Dad's GTV.
Read the full results list in KP's competition report in the June club magazine.
If anyone has any pics, please post a few.
Cheers,
Brent

Rory
Grab away Rory. If you want more pixels let me know.
Hey Darryl
I finished the June issue over the weekend and sent it to the printer on Monday, completely forgetting about these pics.
Wait for it .....
D'OH!!!
There you go.
Sorry, been a difficult month and the magazine didn't get all the focus it usually does.
Hopefully I'll get a few of them in next month's issue, those shots are too good to miss.
Cheers
Rory
Hey Chuckie,
Whatya been doin' to that 105 of yours? It's looking better than ever mate. Somebody steal your green paint scheme? :D
That's a Dougie and Chucky home-made paint and panel job. Bloody nice work for a couple of old bastards!
Geez hammer I am not sure if my brave pants are big enough to call Chucky and old bastard just yet but the sailor is certainly setting the spinnaker close to the wind ;D
Ah it's the colour mate. Alfas are gotta be red. :D
I've called Chucky a lot worse!
We celebrated his 60th up at Warwick, with a good meal, plenty of ale and a few out of tune Johnny Cash renditions.
