Does selespeed need some kind of annual service if so what is involved and how much approx, if so does this contribute to longevity of the unit. thanks and regards

yes, annual clutch rod adjustment and end of line recalibration... this is done with examiner... should only cost around $150

can be done with FES or alfadiag at home for free.

Thanks mr wanski,sorry for my ignorance but what is FES or alfadiag,are they some sort of contraption i have to purchase and plug in somewhere in engine bay, thanbks again for your val. input and look forward to more info.rgrds

you will find out all u need to know on the websites... if you have a laptop you need to buy a cable for like 6-7 bux and away you go..

example cable: this is a KL cable - check the websotes to see what you need for your car - the other type is an ELM cable... they will allow you to access different systems... no reason you can't own both... (same price)

the licence cost is around 50 euro... well worth it.

I use FES but i found it was what i could connect to - so d/l both - they have a free try version - then pay the licence to unlock the good stuff when u find one you can use or prefer...
