I'm looking to buy a fibreglass bonnet for a 105 stepnose. I'd prefer to source locally as freight from the UK suppliers is a killer.
Regards,
Nick
I have a carbon fibre one ex race car with four bonnet pin holes. Fresh coat of rosso corsa on the top, natural under. Weighs about 3.5KG from memory, heaps less than F/G. Located Sydney. Make me an offer if you would like it. Also have F/G boot lid.

Hi Bill
If Nick isn't interested, I might be.
Send me a pm on what price you might be looking at?
Cheers,
Brian

Hi Bill,
As discussed on the phone, I need a road going bonnet (ie with fittings to take the stock hinges). That being the case, I'll pass (with thanks for your reply) and leave the way clear for Brian or others.
Regards,
Nick

Anyone else know where I can get a fibreglass stepnose bonnet locally??

Nick
An old post here about this, not sure if it led to anything... http://www.alfaclubvic.org.au/forum/index.php?topic=3586.0;wap2
Hi GoldCloverLeaf,
Yes, that was my thread. I didn't get enough takers to justify the commercial creation of a stepnose bonnet mould... so I'm now looking for alternatives (ie existing local suppliers or sellers).
Regards,
Nick
Hey Nick, are you doing this to remove weight or some other reasons ?
Hi Pancho,
My original steel bonnet is rusted out along the front edge. As I need to replace the bonnet, I'm thinking a fibreglass unit will be better than a 40 year old second hand steel bonnet... even assuming I could find a nice straight and rust free one.
Of course, the weight saving is an added bonus, but not a particularly important one.
Regards,
Nick
Ah ok.
Well, I've got a good bonnet with no rust that I'd be selling if you decide to go down the original steel path. No rust.

Hi Pancho,
Thanks... PM sent.

Nick
