Title: Super charged Boxer
Post by: Karu on February 29, 2012, 12:24:23 PM
Does anyone know what is required to supercharge a boxer. My 33 has the single twin barrel carby and I just purchased a pair of twin weber heads without the carbies and thought it might be worth supercharging while I am at it.

About 10 - 15 years ago there was some chat about using imported superchargers from second hand motors from Japan, i think they were Toyota motors, a few of them ended up on the 3.8 litre ecotech Commodore motors, as someone was making a kit, for the G.M. motors, the boxer motor would be ideal, as you could mount the supercharger in the centre of the engine, much better than turbo charging, as the exhaust system would be a nightmare, it was done up in N.S.W. in the 80's, [turbocharging], Colin.
