Title: Giulia tee
Post by: Evan Bottcher on February 20, 2012, 09:06:57 PM
My in-laws received as a gift a tee-shirt with this Giulia design, which had belonged to the former owner of their Giulia Super.  I wondered if anyone knows the origin of the design, whether the person who made them is still making them?  I would love one!

Even if I have to wear it in the closet so the transaxle fans wont kill me, I want one.  ;D

Wasn't that one of Ian Masterman's designs?

Rumour has it you wear an "ALFASUDS RULE!" t-shirt under your overalls ...

That rumour needs some steering correction. It should read I wear my "Y" fronts over my stovepipe trousers and a red cape at the back when I am pissed. :D

I just know that shirt would help me get over my shyness.

If you are living a double life you really need a Giulia shirt!

I mean let's face it, with a twisted bunch of friends like you lot, who needs an enema?  :D  :D ;D

Make that shirt order for two. No, not as for two sharing a shirt but as in the quantity of two. (Cripes, you gotta be careful around here)

Sounds more like the jock strap support group to me, Pep. :D

We could have seriously made use of a couple of these shirts on the Fruit Loop Rally in the last millennium. That's my 2 litre powered Giulia with 1600 ratios that used to piss off all the 2 litre transaxles at the time. What a hoot !

MD I assume your the bloke in the red, even if your not you both look as shifty as each other  :), cemented by the fact your packing
bigger cubes in that 1600 Super with a 4.56 diff - Cheeky! sure would have scared the trannies I mean transaxles and with those beards the trannys.  :D

I know what you mean about pissing off the 2 litre transaxles, I remember in the GTV having a bit of fun with a bloke in a GT1300 Junior on Plenty Rd many years ago, thinking id dropped a piston or something because I kept thinking a 1300 couldn't go that good, only to find out later on it was running a 2 litre.

What an awesome photo ! Nice Super too.

I am sure we all like a bit of humour and a sense of fun in our lives and speaking of lives, I have come to learn that my life is basically a sandwich. A slice of serious application followed by a humour filling and covered by a delight in imagination. Some would say my life is a picnic that is actually missing the sandwich but they just know me too well. :D Bastards ! :D :D

A topic response from me can depend on which sandwich part is in charge at the time and so the response could be a technical debate tempered by some stupidity just to bring it back to the human connection and finalised by some imaginary hope or aspiration all in one. Yes you guessed it, my shrink has most of my next year's racing budget. :D

Now where were we? Yeah, pep the more we exchange posts on this Forum, the more me thinks we went to the same reform school but I never got to meet you 'cause I was in detention most of the time facing the corner with the dunce cap on.  ;D

That Super has a huge story to go with it and the fruitcakes manning it in the photo but I don't want to go into that diatribe unless there are readers out there that are actually interested. I'll keep you guessing which one is me in the photo but the bulge in the overalls is no clue 'cause it's actually a cod piece.  ;D

I just realised that with my Giulia T shirt on, I could proudly display it in full view perched high on my seat during my next tour from Queensland to Mexico in my new rig.
