Post by: ItalCarGuy on February 06, 2012, 02:53:16 PM
Anyone know where I can get Dynamat or a similar product for my floor pans in Brisbane? Its pretty expensive stuff so I am open to alternatives.

Derek, my bodyshop pointed out that dynamat is the beez kneez in sound proofing and if I went down this road (which I am) its best bought through ebay/internet. Locally it can cost up to twice the price of US supply with postage. With ebay, just ensure feedback is good and use paypal, I also verify pricing by visiting supplier websites, which on occasion I have found items being discounted?

RYDA car audio have it online and seems reasonable at a glance (+ $20 postage), better chance if you check out other local car audio stores in brizzy rather than car parts stores...

I looked on ebay for similar insulation, and it was about half the price available locally, ended up buying from Repco, as i wanted to finish it off, rather than have the car sitting there for 2 weeks, note to self, must do better forward planning, Colin.

Thanks guys. I ended up ordering though Ryda. I don't think I can wait for two weeks either!
