Title: Up Change Paddle Won't work
Post by: smitti52 on January 18, 2012, 11:40:00 PM
A small piece of metal about 5mm square fell out of the steering wheel.
Now the up change button doesn't work.
Can it be fixed or, like everything else, I'd have to get a complete new steering wheel.
Don't want to be bullshitted to by Alfa Dealer who may tell me to replace it.

It depends on your mechanical ability, if you know what you are doing, try going to an Alfa wrecker for a new switch, or a good second hand one, if not, get a second hand steering wheel, i know that the steering wheels of manual 147's and 156 JTS's, the audio buttons on the steering wheel fail, and i have seen replacements switches on UK ebay sites, maybe also you can get new paddles as well, Colin.

specify car and year... u can get the paddle pods if that is what u are talking about, they are pricey but no, separate from wheel.

you can get UPGRADE alloy ones which are, if a lil' agricultural, much nicer to use.
