Title: Seeking some advice on selling a 69' Spider
Post by: 69Spider on December 13, 2011, 05:04:32 PM
I have owned the car for about 9 years and absolutely loved it since the day I got it.  Sadly having two garages is a rare thing and as I have to shift shortly, I know that I will not have the space to keep this car undercover where it needs to be.  I would dearly love to see it go to a real Alfa enthusiast as the 69 model is pretty rare these days hence why I am not sure how much to try and sell it for.  Decent 72 – 76 models seem to go for between $10,000 and $18,000 depending on their condition but I have not seen a 69 with the boat tail for sale in a very long time.

The car runs absolutely brilliantly and I spent about $4k several years ago rebuilding the gear box and fixing everything under the hood like engine mounts etc (I have the original receipt which lists all the work).  The car was originally a US model with fuel injection that was brought out to Australia sometime in the 80's, converted to right hand drive and carburettors.  The paint is a little average but the interior is in great shape.

Anyway, would greatly appreciate some thoughts on what the value may be.

Hi,
Rob at Manning Motors will assist.
It all depends on condition.
Cheers

Hi,

Not sure if you received my email but I may be interested in buying your car once you have established a price for it.  Please personal message or email me.

Thanks,
Charles
