Title: Diagnostic Reader Hire/borrow/Help..
Post by: dominic on December 07, 2011, 03:07:51 PM

Hi everyone,

Just wondered if anyone had a reader I could use? If you could come over and plug it etc?

Car isn't road worthy therefor can't drive it to a sponsor to have them do it.

Would give you beers/money.

(live in Cheltenham.Vic)

Thanks

Dominic

Another option is to get a unregistered vehicle permit for a few days.
You can buy the permit from VicRoads over the phone for about $40.
They email you the permit.

Cheers

I did think about it.

Car is not drivable, (for such a distane.)

Just hoping someone will have one and wouldn't mind poping over.

Thanks,

Dominic.

Hey Dominic, you want to borrow a code reader that plugs into the on board dianostic 2 plug, this still won't get your car going, it may tell you what the problem is, is this what you are trying to do?, Colin.

It's a 2005 2.0 147.

Pre face lift model.

That would be awesome if I could borrow it or you do it.

Thanks.

Dominic

I am in Cheltenham and have a basic OBDII reader you are welcome to.  May not fix the problem but it could give you a hint.  In thepast it has helped me identify failing coils for eg.
