Wow I just found this amazing story!
QuoteA dream come true.
A NY man retired. He wanted to use his retirement money wisely, so it would last, and decided to buy a home and a few acres in Portugal. The modest farmhouse had been vacant for 15yrs.; the owner and wife both had died, and there were no heirs. The house was sold to pay taxes. There had been several lookers, but the large barn had steel doors, and they had been welded shut. Nobody wanted to go to the extra expense to see what was in the barn, and it wasn't complimentary to the property anyway..... so, nobody made an offer on the place.
The NY guy bought it at just over half of the property's worth, moved in, and set about to tear in to the barn..... curiosity was killing him. So, he and his wife bought a generator, and a couple of grinders..... and cut thru the welds.
What was in the barn...............?

Webmaster, that's at least the third time that one has been around.
Do you read the forum? or too busy making that Sud go faster? ;D
YEAH ::)
nice avatar pic, Bradley
I was fishing for someone to have a big go at me for posting this. No-one took the bait!
I've now received this via email 8 times, and it's come up on the AlfaBB for about the 18th time. It's got to be one of the all time biggest internet fads! Made even better by the collection of old Alfa Romeo's in the photos.
Someone should post this every month...
Surely that could be automated Webmaster. ;D
I'm just glad I had the good sense to research this before I published it in the mag. That would be embarrassing..............
And hello to all our NSW browsers!
What? six weeks has gone by. nobody has brought up this like it could actually have been true. or they were the first to find it.
i got it again yesterday but was not brave enough to say anything
Cheers,
Simon
So Evan, could you tell me all about this amazing "barn find"......
