Title: Driver's side kick panel for 1750 GTV
Post by: Evan Bottcher on September 02, 2011, 01:50:09 PM
Somewhere in my garage is the driver's side kick panel I took off my GTV, but it seems to be eluding me.  It's a chipboard panel with a carpeted covering and a stitched trim on the leading edge.  I'm wondering whether it's original or not.

Pep sent me this photo of the side kick panel from his GT Junior - it's a textured vinyl panel, I guess similar to the transmission tunnel covering on those juniors.  It's possible this is not correct for my 1750 GTV.

Any clues what the correct side panel is for my 1750 GTV?  Anyone got a photo they can share?

thanks,
Evan.

Evan do you mean the panel over the transmission tunnel or on the RHS of the footwell?

On my car, all I have is a carpet trim on the RHS, but I don't believe it is original. Obviously on the 1750 we have the full length console, rather than the pleated trim as per in GT Juniors.  I have seen on some cars simply a panel covererd in smooth vinyl (not pleated) and in others a map pocket, as per on the LHS.

I am not clear which is correct.
