hi all
the sele is playing up again, and i pretty sure its the pump again, so what i want to know is does anyone know where to get a pump recod and approx how much or should i just buy a new one, i have heard that when a pump is reco it is stronger/better realiability that a new one
thanks for any help
Have a look on the 156 and 147 ebay site and try the usual suspects at Maranello Pur Sang Motors, Monza Motors and Maceuri Motors, Colin.
Did see an eBay add with a reco selespeed pump last week, not sure if it's still going.
But I would just call around the Alfa mechanics/parts guys and see what they got available.
i dont want a 2nd hand one again, i either will buy new or get one reco'd
i did see it on ebay, can get a new one for around the same price, plus it was a change over part, really want to know a price to get one reco'd
Well Dehne, try the sponsors of the Alfa club, i am sure they have done the odd selespeed pump by now and tell us all how you get on, as we all go down that path one day, Colin.

Dehne, how did you get on with picking up the phone? Or are you still waiting for someone to give you an answer here?
Part of what this club is about is connecting Alfisti with trustworthy specialists, but they don't sit around answering internet questions you'd have to pick up the phone. Please support our sponsors if you can, I'm sure they'll happy arrange a reco for your selespeed pump at a reasonable price.

might be a bit late - but last i saw the italian job had a few reco sale pump.
they also had a full sele unit cut in half to study the parts, and showed what they did to the reco ones...not sure if they're club sponsors - but they seem to know their stuff pretty well with regards to sele
