Title: What part/relay is that?
Post by: Al Campbell on July 04, 2011, 08:25:40 AM
There’s a relay to the left of the bonnet catch (looking towards the rear of the car). It’s a new looking Bosch, with what looks like an aftermarket socket. But it’s mounted in what looks like a place intended for a relay. It has an Orange and Brown wires that disappear into the factory wiring loom just behind the bonnet catch i.e. into a black sheath with a bunch of other wires. I can’t find any hint of an Orange wire anywhere in the wiring diagrams in the owner’s manual. Or any unidentified relays.  It looks aftermarket, but it appears to be connected to the factory wiring loom. Maybe some requirement for Australian regulations?

Any ideas?
Thanks, AL.

The relays has been identified as for the brake fluid level warning light. That might explain why it's not mentioned on the wiring diagram as my owners manual shows only one combined light for brake fluid & hand-brake, no mention of the hand-brake light next to the window switches.
