For Sale on ebay UK - No affiliation but it's haunting me!

Looks interesting...I want it!

I was looking at the bidding history - does it seem strange to anyone else? Lots of people making several bids in quick succession even though they are the leading bidder at that stage?

Maybe I just don't know enough about how ebay works to understand it.

just how ebay works - you add your highest bid and eBay automatically just outbids as other bidders have a crack up to your max bid..

looks like bidders have made multiple successive bids ..

I know this car and seller was looking for late 20's, early thirties recently. It started at late 30s about 8/10 months ago

Yes Phil is right about the price - this car has been listed on Alfaholics for 10 months - detailed photos show excellent though not authentic interior and quality exterior but half done engine bay - no shots of underbody - english car - tread carefully - the winter road salt gives them permanent rust problems ... see http://www.alfaholics.com/2010/07/alfa-romeo-gtc-convertible-136/

+1.

There is a vast chasm between what we consider is "rust" and our Antipodean colleagues in the UK. For example, have look at the the Shannons sourced UK review of the 2600 Sprint for auction  and then tread the independenet inspection.

I have brought over a couple of old cars from the UK myself and have had suprises.

Life is grand!  :o
