Post by: dehne on June 07, 2011, 11:23:11 PM
hey all
just wondering if anyone has some cheap 16inch race rubber, they want to move on, now its still needs to have a little bit of tread at least enough for 2days racing, small sprints

I've got some 16 inch slicks I want to get rid of.  They've been sitting for a couple of years, so they're a little hard, but with some tyre softener and a reasonably good thrash on them, they may come back a bit.  But they have plenty of life left in them, around 5mm of material left.

$250 for 5.

They're the equivalent of a 225 width, so they really need at the very least a 7in wide rim, preferably 8in wide.

im running 225's on it atm on a 6.5 rim i think the profile is 45 not sure will have to look.
are they full slicks, cause that sound very interesting, how does tyre soften work is it a spray/paste

NFI.  I bought them off someone else, then realised it would be too hard to get the right size wheel for them.  If you're looking at breaking lap records, this might be a pertinent question.  Otherwise, they're a $400 tyre at $50 each, what do you expect?

And yes, they're full slicks.

Any other questions, PM me.

What diameter or aspect ratio are they? Cheers

That's fine, but I'd prefer it if the whole world didn't now know what I'm doing at 9am on Saturday.

PM IS YOUR FRIEND!!!!!!!
