Is there any way of finding out exactly what date the 1st GTV6 was produced?
Is it likely to be 1981 or could it possibly be late 1980?
Anyone know?

Greg - David Owen, in his book "Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT - All 4-cylinder and V6 coupes" reports 2 built 1979 and 1179 in 1980.

You could try sending an email to Mario Fazio (centrodocumentazione@alfaromeo.com) for verification. He is away until April 28th according to a reply I got to an email over the weekend.

Alister, any chance of a scan of that page?
Reason for this is, if i can prove that they were actually produced b4 01/01/1981 i can enter in hra events as H81 being a model run on.

Of course. Will email over for you. I'll also send the page from the recent Quattroruote book "Alfa Romeo - Tutti I Modelli del Novecento" that lists the first GTV6 series a 1980-1982 model years.

Still follow up with Mario though. Nothing like the factory backing you up.
