Title: Classic Resto Night - 105 Feature car
Post by: John Hanslow on March 09, 2011, 01:32:25 PM
For Friday 25th March refer calendar or Vintage and Classic Register.

This will be a great night as we will have a range of vehicles covering 30 years of Alfa Romeo:
- 101 Spider fully restored about 10 years ago.
- 105 Coupe under restoration now to concorso standard.
-  Alfetta GTV - not restored but in great original condition.

If you are thinking of restoring ( rebuilding or repairing too) a 101, 105 or other vehicle (Alfetta & 160),  you are encouraged to attend as there is a wealth of information to be gained here.   Please note that Mr Massa takes a lot of pride in full restoration using original factory parts and/or to factory spec.  This will be evident in the standard of Concorso vehicle that he rebuilds.

We plan to have a slide presentation going thru a full resto step by step.

Many have seen the 105 Concorso winner from 2009 as well as Gary Pearce's 105.

This is a further oppotunity to check out a 105 rebuild.  Also, new members welcome.

When booking give name, membership number and contact mb. number thanks.

For Friday 25th March refer calendar or Vintage and Classic Register.
......

it should not be that difficult to find ...

because of the great interest I believe the visit may be opened to members first, others may get opportunity only if there are free spots left ...

btw Nick, if have not yet, you should join the Club, it would be great to have another 1300 junior, not that many around ..
also the Club is a great resource while you are going through restoration, lots of people have done this before and are happy to help ..

Hi Branko,

Thanks... it's just that I'm unfamiliar with the "Vintage and Classic register", so that's why I was requesting time and location details.

I understand and appreciate that the event should be open to members first... and, you're right, I really should get organised and join the Club.

Cheers,

Nick

if you go here: http://www.alfaclubvic.org.au/forum/index.php and look down at the list of forums it will be obvious and you will have a DOH moment  ;)

BTW, not trying to give you hard time, but rather guiding you to navigate the forum. This forum is a good resource to have and use.

Also, Calendar is on the main site and not on the forum, so if you go to the aroca vic home page (clicking on the "AROCA Victorian Division" in the top right hand corner of this page will take you there) you will be able to find the calendar from there.

There has been continued interest expressed so we are orgainising another one at a well known Melbourne classic car restorer.

I am surprised so many people (new members) who have a 105 ready to - or with restoration in progress.  Just shows the new Club Permit scheme is benefitial to all concerned.

Details to be provoded soon.
