Title: WTB: GTV or GTV6
Post by: GTVeloce on March 03, 2011, 04:36:39 PM
Still looking for a plastic bumper GTV or GTV6. Whole car or just shell. Body needs to be in good condition - i.e. minimal rust and damage.
Preferably in Melbourne.
Thanks

Or you can buy my turbo delta...plastic bumper, unique and quicker than a GTV6 ;-)

ah but the gtv6 is $1.5k less than half the price of ur car  ;)
not saying your car isnt worth that, but this is a good solid example of a original car for next to nothing.

Thanks guys, but I'm preferably after the shell and don't really care about the mechanicals. I am looking to transfer all the gear from my TS GTV across to a better shell after it suffered some panel damage recently. I am very happy with everything on the car as almost everything has been rebuilt or replaced. i.e. other than the body the car is great. Both of your cars look good but are probably more than I want to pay for what is essentially a body to me (plus it's criminal to rip apart a unique car like the Turbodelta for parts!).
Thanks
Julian

Should contact MD about that car, he may know it.  By photos looks like crap respray to me...who knows what lies beneath.  There was also a body in Melb (bare metal with cage from memory) on here about 6 months ago, not sure if sold, but looked like a good option at the time.  Iwas very temped simply to get ahold of a straigh body pretty much ready for paint.  Was cheap also, I think 2k?

Good luck, they are around.

Thanks guys. I did check out that one in qld but it's just too far to have to transport a car that doesn't drive and to have to buy it sight unseen. I have been fortunate and have come across a good body here in Melbourne (in red too!) that shouldn't need to much work to be ready for all my bits.
Thanks
Julian
