Title: Interior Paint colour
Post by: magraith on February 28, 2011, 08:28:05 PM
I am in the process of having the exterior of my car repainted, in a navy blue color. As the car is being set up for track days, I have stripped the interior and reduced the associated weight. I have seen a number of pics of race cars with very light colored interiors, so I am thinking about a light grey color..I know Alfaholics have a great example..would love to hear your thoughts??

Well if you're looking to reduce weight, definitely a *light* colour. boom boom. :D

Here's some pics of the AH Motorsports 33 in preparation.  The interior looks more white than grey in the photos, but I believe it really is battleship grey...

I think they look great like that, if you're the OC type that'll keep it really clean.

Thanks Evan, spot on.

That's exactly what I am talking about.

Reckon you'll find thats because factories often deliver cars intended for racing in white so that the owner can respray in their colour of choice.
