Here's a link to an album of pics on the QR Facebook profile. Pics (Alfas only) taken by Chris Hampstead at the Ipswich Street Sprints on Saturday.

Photos look great Brent.  That 'Sud' driven by Mark Jackson, was that built by Bob Whitehouse?

Were you driving?

Going on Photo #21, I suspect that would be yes ... front frame / suspension is familiar from when I saw it in the build phase.

Boys,

Sud is definitely the one built by Bob Whitehouse. Bob moved to the US last April and sold the car to Jacko, who bent it a little and painted it red after repairs. He had not been achieving great times until Saturday, when he pulled a 62.15 on the QR sprint circuit, which is pretty quick. To put that in perspective, the best I've done in Jim's old Guilietta is 62.46 on R tyres (but I'm a pretty ordinary driver and Mark Jackson is a very experienced racer). Mark had just had the car properly dyno-tuned last week, which seems to have extracted the best out of it.

Mark's daughter Sian is now driving his old Alfetta, which is also a quick car. My brother Chris will be driving Mark's even older Alfetta, which is not so fast  :)

Cheers,

Brent
