Title: Koni Red Adjustment
Post by: GTVeloce on February 08, 2011, 03:08:55 PM
Hi all

Simple question: how does one adjust Koni Red's? I have some in a 75 that I would like to firm up. I have had a brief look and I can see an allen key slot in the top. Is it as simple as turning that? If so, which direction?

Thanks
Julian

You compress them fully and rotate the top relative to the bottom.  So by definition one end needs to be unbolted from the car.

No problem.

Oh - sometimes the plastic "bump stop" is still on the top of the shaft.  You need to take that off to adjust it, and then put it back on afterwards.  To get it off extend the shock fully and you'll see it.  It's a thin plastic disc that fits around the shaft.

Fronts- Fully compress and press the bottom on the top and then twist.

Rears- Fully compress and then it will lock into a key and then just twist ( you will feel it)

If i remember its clock wise. i didn't mine on my car 75% to stiff
