Hi All,
On the way to work Thursday morning, we were about to turn right off the Warrego Highway in QLD, next thing I remember is waking up in the wreck.
Here's our car.
Here's what hit us, we had slowed to about 40-60k, skidmarks on the road showed he hadn't braked when the crash occurred, so at least 110kmh.
Both myself and the driver of the Kluger are OK, he is a lot younger and fitter than I, so has come through remarkably well, I am having difficulty walking as my right leg is really sore and doesn't want to bend.
Truck driver was apparently in shock. Rental Kluger is a writeoff.
Cheers
Stuart

Thanks Brad,
So am I!!!

Glad to hear that you are only aching after that wreck.
Your fist trip to Qld was cut short by the fkloods, trip two by this one.
Maybe you should cross Qld off your travel iinerary for a while.
I saw this title and expected something funny! So glad you are okay. Scratch another one of your nine lives.
compo ?
Glad you're OK Stuart... scary stuff..!
very lucky, glad no serious injury
I knew there was a reason for people buying Toyota's,[they crash good] and the good news is one less Toyota to deal with, oh and umm, the all round good bloke Stuarts ok, hopefully see you at Winton, take care good mate!, Colin.

Thanks Joe, might see you at the Werribee Mercy on Monday (if you're still working there), I'm having a shedload of scans in the arvo.

It was the inertial of the big mass that saved you, and then there is the mass of the Kluger as well ;)
Kidding aside, that wreck does not look great ! You were indeed very lucky to get out of that just sore, and I am very glad that you did.
Not your time yet, there are still school fees to pay and beer to drink!

Yes, apparently it helps to have a fat neck as well...
